Renee Harwell is a trusted provider of valuation services to small and medium size businesses, estates, CPA firms and legal counsel. Renee understands the significant financial and emotional impact valuation and related consulting services play in clients’ lives, and she can readily explain complex financial concepts in laymen’s terms.
Renee Harwell is the owner of Harwell Valuation Advisors, based in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is a CPA, accredited in business valuation (ABV) by the AICPA, and is certified in financial forensics (CFF) by the AICPA. She served on the Board of Directors and has been the past President of:
- The Knoxville Estate Planning Council
- The Knoxville Chapter of the TN Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA)
- The Knoxville Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers
Renee has also served on the Forensic and Valuation Services Committee of the TSCPA on several occasions.
Mrs. Harwell has been valuing businesses full time since 1996 covering a wide range of industries. She has valued hundreds of businesses for purposes including estate and gifting, mergers and acquisitions, divorce, purchase price allocations, ESOP’s, lost profits and litigation.
She is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, spent 13 years in New Mexico, and calls Knoxville, TN home. Renee is fond of saying that at age 40 she was kayaking Class V rivers when she married and now enjoys 3 children, 2 mother-in-laws, and a raft.
